THE OPPORTUNITY

As Group Sales Manager (GSM), you will be responsible for the ownership and delivery of sales revenue, maintaining and growing client and agency relationships and ensuring proactive workflow within your team of Account Managers & Sales Co-Ordinator’s across your designated media agency portfolio (Tier 1 and 2 agencies).

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Manage team performance to achieve monthly sales targets
  • Accurate weekly forecasting to senior management
  • Work closely with your team & GBD to understand your agency/territory and educate/promote JCDecaux
  • Maintain high performance deadlines on response to brief.
  • Educate clients with new products to market
  • Identify and implement strategies to grow share on existing advertisers’ budgets.

You’ll be someone with a demonstrated media background who is motivated by driving business forward and leading from the front. A trusted leader, you’ll be flexible to change and will work with, and develop your team to ensure the best results. You’ll be someone who thinks outside the box and enjoys seeking and winning new business by offering innovative and client focused solutions. As well as:

 

Essential 

  • Previous experience minimum 5 years in a high value Sales Environment, Senior Account Management
  • Examples of existing Tier 1 and Tier 2 senior agency relationships
  • Experience managing a sales team
  • Working proactively within a team environment, mentoring & leading people
  • Experience communicating with senior stakeholders

Desirable

  • Working within an Agency Sales Environment 
  • Exposure within other media channels 
  • Demonstrative co-operation and operating effectively as part of a team with accountability for specific results

Qualifications

  • Tertiary education in Media or Advertising (preferred but not essential)
